“Don’t go to Chelsea” – Pep Guardiola now wants £38m Chelsea target to replace Kevin De Bruyne
Chelsea may need to prepare for a drawn-out struggle to acquire one of their transfer targets.
Mohammed Kudus, a standout for West Ham United, is drawing interest from Manchester City, who want to continue their current success, and Chelsea, who were close to signing him before he moved to east London. Kudus flourished in his Premier League debut season, tallying eight goals and providing six assists, after the Hammers signed him for an estimated £38 million from Ajax.
Pep Guardiola has reportedly determined that the Ghanaian is the best option to replace Kevin De Bruyne, who has declared he is open to new possibilities, according to Caughtoffside. According to reports, West Ham is desperate to keep the midfield player but could be persuaded by a sum in the region of £100 million.
Last summer, Chelsea agreed on personal terms with Kudus, but failed to agree on a fee with Ajax, which then opened the door for West Ham to seal the deal. Liverpool, who are starting life under new manager Arne Slot, are also admirers of Kudus, who has interest from the Saudi Pro League as well.
Chelsea Transfer Plans
Chelsea have shown interest in many young players, having already confirmed the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo, who turned down a contract at Fulham to move to Stamford Bridge. Aston Villa youngster Omari Kellyman followed in a stunning £19 million deal, and they also added Marc Guiu and reunited Enzo Maresca with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
