“A very wonderful player” “I love him” – Enzo Maresca hails Chelsea star energy in his first training as a Chelsea boss

The Chelsea men’s squad started their preseason this week. Online videos of the team being put through their paces by new head coach Enzo Maresca have gone viral.

Pre-season usually involves the dreaded bleep test, as is customary among teams to gauge a player’s overall fitness.

Players must run 20 meters back and forth on a defined track while timing their movements with beeps to pass the test.

Participants are forced to run faster as the interval between beeps gets shorter—roughly every minute.

A player receives a warning if they are unable to reach their marker in the allotted time; a second warning ends the player’s test.

Malo Gusto, meantime, was crowned the fittest player and received a standing ovation for passing the infamous bleep test.

“Malo Gusto is a terrific player, and we’re excited for the upcoming campaign as we welcome him and his passion and expertise to the club”.

“When you join a club, you attempt to evaluate what the team and club need to do to advance and make the appropriate decisions,” Maresca continued.

The final member of Chelsea’s squad to remain after the demanding fitness evaluation was the French full-back Malo Gusto.

Gusto received a lot of praise for the feat from his coaches and teammates.
