Report: Chelsea eye SHOCK move for 23-year-old Euro 2024 star
According to sources, Chelsea and Newcastle are vying for the 23-year-old Serbian defender Strahinja Pavlovic of RB Salzburg.
The player, who was one of the best players in Euro 2024, is being sought after by the Blues, AC Milan, Aston Villa, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to CaughtOffside.
According to the report, Milan pays Pavlovic between €1.5 million and €2 million a year, but it’s believed that Premier League teams are willing to pay him more.
Milan has put in the most work, but the Serie A powerhouses currently think Salzburg’s €30 million asking price is too high. Rather than that, they’ll try to provide about €20m. Proposals are anticipated from Chelsea and
Pavlovic began his professional career at Partizan Belgrade before moving on AS Monaco. During his time in France, he had loan moves to Cercle Brugge and Basel. He has been with RB Salzburg since 2022 and could now be on the move this summer.
