“I love his style of play” “Got Hazard vibes of play– Willian Borges urges Chelsea to sign £52M star who told Chelsea to pay his release clause

If Chelsea pursues a move for Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig, they might sign a player who shares Eden Hazard’s qualities, according to Willian Borges.

The Spanish international has actually been strongly associated with Chelsea, one of Willian Borges’ old teams. However, the former attacker for Chelsea stated in an interview with Paddy Power that he would be a fantastic fit for the Blues:

“I’d like to see Dani Olmo at Chelsea. He is a creative player and has a lot of quality technically. A bit like Eden Hazard, he’s so mobile and loves to get on the ball.”

“Hazard was playing like that at Chelsea and they have the same technique. His finishing is fantastic – maybe Chelsea should try and get him.”

Teams will need to move quickly if they want Olmo

It has recently been confirmed that the release clause in the 26-year-old’s contract will expire on Saturday 20th July. It means that there isn’t much time for interested clubs to sign him for €60m (£50m).

Olmo may be still available after that date but he may cost €10m to €20m more. Based on his performances in the European Championships, teams should be considering bids for the player now while he is still available at an affordable price.

Chelsea may prioritise other targets
Olmo tends to take up similar positions to the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Cole Palmer between the lines so that may be one reason why Enzo Maresca’s side will opt against snapping up the Spaniard.

The recruitment department are thought to be keener on buying a striker and a right-footed left-winger. In terms of forwards, the likes of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins are on the club’s radar, although there are question marks over how realistic those targets are.

In the winger category, the Blues have been mentioned as potential suitors for Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville, Rennes’ Desire Doue, Porto’s Francisco Conceicao and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.
