Brazilian player ‘has been sold to Chelsea’ this weekend according to Fabrizio Romano
This past weekend, a local source claimed that Chelsea was spending £17 million to buy a new player during the summer transfer season.
Chelsea has been extremely active during this transfer season so far, and it appears that they will sell midfielder Conor Gallagher this week.
However, the most recent rumor discusses a potential new arrival who is a player to watch in the future.
Gabriel Mec, a Gremio footballer, was reportedly sold to Chelsea for more over £17 million, according to Gremio source Radio Imortal.
Fabrizio reins is back
The report from the Gremio source can be seen above, but transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reigned it in slightly and says it is not yet a done deal.
Romano says: ‘Chelsea and Gremio are getting closer to the full agreement for Gabriel Mec. Deal not done yet but advancing, still waiting for some crucial steps to get it sealed for 2008 born Brazilian talent to join the Chelsea project.’
Mec is another very talented young South American player who is just 16-years-old and coming up through the ranks.
Chelsea have been signing a host of new young players from around the world as they look to build for the future, and Mec looks likely to be one of the many new faces arriving into this project.
I am sure there will be many more incoming too.
So whilst this one is not yet a done deal, it looks likely that it will soon become a done deal and Mec will be a Chelsea player for the future.
