£33m player ‘set to fly’ tomorrow to complete big Chelsea transfer

One player is “set to fly” tomorrow to finalize Chelsea’s second major summer transfer this window.

As this transfer transaction comes to an end, the Blues are aiming to make both inbound and outbound moves as they close a number of deals this summer.

The fact that they must sell players has always been clear for a variety of reasons, and midfielder Conor Gallagher is one player who is currently leaving.

After being named in the England Euros squad this summer, the England international has not yet returned to the club, and it doesn’t appear like he will be doing so anytime soon.

Gallagher off to Atletico

As per multiple reports over night now, Gallagher is set to join Atletico Madrid in La Liga for a fee of around £33m.

And as you can see from the tweet above from Nizaar Kinsella of The BBC, Gallagher will fly to Spain tomorrow to complete the move after appearing to have said yes to the Spanish side.

Chelsea had agreed a fee with Atletico some days back now, and then we were just all waiting on the player agreeing to the move too. It looks like that has now come and the deal can be completed.

It’s a good move for all parties really. Chelsea needed to sell and were always going to sell Gallagher this summer. It’s a good move for him to a decent club in the Champions League also!
