SENSATIONAL €145m triple transfer to be completed TODAY

A triple transfer domino involving Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester City should be almost finished today, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Three elite players will trade hands for €145 million in this incredible transaction between the three clubs.

For over €70 million, Julian Alvarez will join Atletico Madrid from Manchester City.

Samu Omorodion, who would cost €35 million to join Chelsea, will be replaced by Alvarez.

A Chelsea midfielder is set to depart for Atletico Madrid for €40 million.

Romano reports that Gallagher will travel to Madrid on Tuesday to complete his move to Atletico.

The green light to travel will be given as soon as the deals for Omorodion and Alvarez are verball confirmed.

The dominoes will then fall to complete a huge three-way deal.

Alvarez is unhappy with his lack of playing time at the Etihad and asked to leave Man City.

The Argentine turned down a new contract and had admitted these last days that he was considering leaving the club.

That wish has now been granted.

Gallagher to leave Chelsea
Gallagher has been in talks over a move to Atletico for some time now and the transfer is now set to be completed.

The Blues put Gallagher up for sale for a few important financial reasons.

First of all, following two years of record spending, Chelsea need to sell players in order to balance the books.

Secondly, Gallagher is one of the few players with heavy interest who can guarantee a big profit in this regard.

Thirdly, Gallagher’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in 2025 and Chelsea cannot afford to lose him on a free transfer.

In addition, Gallagher is not regarded as compatible with new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca’s possession-based football.

As for Omorodion, at the age of 20, he is just the latest young talent to join Chelsea during the Todd Boehly era.

He scored eight goals in 34 games on loan at Alaves last season.
