“I want to move” – £35M star tells Enzo Maresca he wants summer move to happen
Despite missing the first six months of the season due to a hamstring injury, Chalobah made 13 Premier League matches the previous season in an attempt to join the Enzo Maresca era.
But, there has been a lot of transfer rumors in the media, particularly when he was excluded from the preseason tour of America, suggesting that the club is looking to let go of him during this transfer window.
The defender is reportedly shocked by the choice, but Maresca asserts that the reason for the decision is the intense competition for a spot in Chelsea’s defense after Tosin Adarabioyo joined on a free transfer from Fulham and the return of Wesley Fofana, who missed the entire previous season recovering from ACL surgery are the reason behind the decision to omit Chalobah from his pre-season squad.
It has been claimed that Trevoh Chalobah does not want to leave Chelsea this summer window – and that he would like to stay and fight for his place in the side of Maresca – but that seems to not be the case.
According to HITC, Chalobah has performed a U-turn and is now open to leaving the club this summer.
The defender is thought to have accepted that staying at Stamford Bridge is out of the question and he must explore new options this summer.
Both Crystal Palace and Fulham are thought to hold a keen interest in Chalobah ahead of the new season.
