“If you continue this way, You can’t qualify for Champions League” – Gallas tells Chelsea what to correct ahead of new season
William Gallas, a former Chelsea defender, has pointed out that the Blues aren’t even talented enough to make it into the Champions League right now.
Chelsea must strive to finish in the top four of the league in order to qualify for the Champions League.
Despite spending billions of pounds on player acquisitions, the Blues have failed to qualify for the Champions League in either of the last two seasons.
Gallas expressed concern over the state of the squad, suggesting that Chelsea still need to add quality in order to stand a chance.
Gallas said, via Genting Casino, “Even though it’s preseason, I’m concerned about Chelsea and I’m concerned when I look at the squad.
“Despite all the money they’ve spent, the squad still isn’t good enough to qualify for the Champions League, they have so many players and they still need more quality.”
