NEW: Chelsea to land “the new Thibaut Courtois” as Chelsea fans told if £87 million star is making Stamford Bridge move
This week, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Chelsea was set to sign the next Thibaut Courtois.
Yesterday afternoon, Romano gave the “here we go” on this one and then provided more player information.
The information about Chelsea’s planned signing of Genk goalkeeper Mike Penders can be seen below, courtesy of Romano’s post from yesterday.
He is yet another player with promise for the future, but Chelsea seems to think he has EXTREME potential!
Next Courtois
Things didn’t turn out great for Chelsea and Thibaut Courtois, but for the keeper himself, he is out there enjoying a very good career as the Real Madrid and Belgium number one. Could Penders follow his footsteps?
Yes, says Romano…
As you can see above, Romano says: ‘Mike Penders is considered the new Thibaut Courtois. Chelsea scouts have fantastic reports on this goalkeeper so they decided to go strong for him. Gabriel Mec deal will be completed in the next days, Chelsea keep going with this big activity on the market.’
So Penders and Mec set to arrive soon, and Chelsea will keep going with their transfer business this summer.
You just wonder whether they are going to get anymore first team signings that improve what they have already, because that is what they are going to need of they seriously want to challenge for top four this season, which they do.

Chelsea fans told if £87 million star is making Stamford Bridge move
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has seemingly given Chelsea fans an update on the possible signing of Napoli star Victor Osimhen – who has been linked with a move to the Blues for months as he continues to look for a move away from the Italian giants.
It is no secret that CHELSEA FC are desperate to add another striker to the attack and it is also no secret that Osimhen is a player that the club have been eyeing up for the last couple of transfer windows.
The Big Nigeria star has already admitted that he is leaving Napoli – the Italians have already confirmed that he will be getting sold in the summer – meaning that the likes of Chelsea will be able to get a deal done if they meet the big mans asking price.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for the player in recent days – and recent reports have claimed that Chelsea and Napoli are negotiating a wage package and the structure for striker that would make him one of the biggest earners at Stamford Bridge.
However – Victor Osimhen to Chelsea looks increasingly unlikely following a new update from Fabrizio Romano. He said: “People are saying that Chelsea left the race for Osimhen, I’m not aware of this. People are saying that Chelsea are accelerating for Osimhen, I’m not aware of this.
“People are saying that Chelsea are getting closer for Osimhen on a loan, I’m not aware of this. No changes for Osimhen. As of today, the interest remains, but Osimhen doesn’t want to go on loan.”
