Confirmed: Chelsea to make these two more attacking signings after Samu Omorodion deal

Before the transfer window closes, Chelsea is apparently looking to add TWO more attackers, even with the anticipated arrival of Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.

Since I reported on it yesterday morning, those of you who subscribe to my Substack website would already be aware of this.

To the best of my knowledge, Chelsea’s current objectives are aligned with what I have stated, and this is supported by the most recent story from The Athletic.

They say that even after Omorodion arrives, Chelsea want another new centre forward, and another winger.

Athletic Podcast

The information was put out on the latest Athletic podcast, as cited by a Chelsea aggregator on X as seen above.

Liam Twomey of The Athletic said:

‘Samu Omorodion is coming in as a second or third choice option to compete / cover with Nicolas Jackson because The Athletic has been told Chelsea want TWO more attacking signings. They would like the number 9 to be Victor Osimhen and they would like a wide forward/winger, I think operating from the left.’

Some might be more concerned about the Chelsea defence rather than the attack, but the reality is that both need additions/addressing in my opinion.

Chelsea should push for an established striker like Osimhen to lead the line in one of the most important positions on the pitch. And they absolutely need a new winger as well, with the current options just not being good enough over all, especially if Cole Palmer is going to be playing more centrally.
