“Don’t go to Chelsea” “Be like Cole Palmer” – Pep Guardiola backs player to match Cole Palmer’s success at current cub & stop Chelsea move

Oscar Bobb is a young player, and City boss Pep Guardiola voiced faith in him after his team defeated Manchester United in the Community Shield on Saturday. He likened Bobb’s potential to that of Chelsea’s rising star Cole Palmer.

About Bobb’s chances going forward and whether he could match Palmer’s incredible accomplishments, Guardiola was questioned.

“That would be great because Cole Palmer’s success at Chelsea last season was unbelievable,” Guardiola remarked.

He went on to praise Palmer’s impact, noting, “He was one of the best two or three players in the Premier League as well as his impact at the Euros.”

Guardiola attributed Palmer’s success to his consistent game time, suggesting that similar opportunities for Bobb could yield impressive results.

“He played every single game,” Guardiola continued, “and I’m pretty sure if Oscar plays a lot of minutes, he can do many, many good things – there’s no doubt about that.”
