Pedro Neto and Wolves have come to an agreement for Chelsea to exchange Molineux for Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea247 has learned that the 24-year-old winger is close to joining the Blues. A deal between Chelsea and Wolves has been reached, and the Blues are willing to pay the Midlands-based team £51 million (with a further £2.5 million).
It appears that Chelsea’s search for a winger is finished as Neto is already en route to SW6.If this transaction goes through, London looks at the winners and losers.
However, It’s an obvious one, isn’t it? Noni Madueke would surely be the biggest loser if Chelsea were to sign Neto. The England Under-21 international, at the moment, seems to be Maresca’s go-to man on the right wing but if Neto was to be signed, then it would surely be difficult for Madueke to get back in the team.
Having Neto around will surely mean we get to see Cole Palmer in a more central role for the upcoming season. Neto also showed during his time at Wolves that he can be played on the left wing, which is not good news for the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling.
