“Get it done” – Enzo Maresca ‘has personally approved’ Chelsea signing of Worldie £87M man
According to rumors in Italy, Enzo Maresca is backing Chelsea’s efforts to recruit Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, because the Italian manager is eager to bring a top-tier attacker into the team.
Osimhen has been in the news for Chelsea once more due to increased speculation that the Blues board wants the huge striker and is willing to pay a high price to secure a trade.
teams are unwilling to pay Osimhen’s £110 million release clause, but current rumors suggest that the Italian powerhouses may permit teams to sign Osimhen provided £87 million is paid over the next several weeks.
And according to Sky Sports Italy, CHELSEA have switched their focus to signing Osimhen and the Nigeria international is open to a move to Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal.
The report adds that Maresca has personally approved the move for Osimhen with Chelsea’s hierarchy.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness has claimed that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is perfect for Chelsea – he told the Football Insider podcast: “Osimhen’s release clause is £110million. He’s a very exciting player, I’ve watched a lot of him in Italy.
“I’ve been hearing that Lukaku to Napoli could be the makeweight to get Osimhen to Chelsea. I’d been hoping he would come to the Premier League, I’m very excited to see how he does.
“He’s one of the players who will keep eyeballs on the Premier League because people want to see him. Chelsea would do very well to get him.
“Lukaku, being a CHELSEA player for a long time, I think he’s the perfect solution.
“If you’re valuing Lukaku at £40m then that would leave a gap of £70m to the break clause, but he’s worth the money.”
