Enzo Maresca gives update as Cole Palmer limps off after 2-0 win over Servette

Chelsea won the match thanks to goals from Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke in the second half after the first half ended in a draw.

Cole Palmer, meanwhile, provided a fright about his injuries as he hobbled and winced off the field.

When Cole Palmer entered the tunnel as a second-half substitute, cameras saw him clinging to his thigh.

Enzo Maresca made hints in his post-game remarks that Cole Palmer wasn’t hurt and that it wasn’t a severe issue.

“Cole felt something but he looks fine,” the Chelsea coach said.

“They already checked him, he looks fine, okay and hopefully there’s not any problem and he can be available for Sunday’s game.”
