“He’s going to leave Chelsea” – Jamie Carragher reveals Cole Palmer next club
The great Jamie Carragher of Liverpool has hinted that Cole Palmer, the top player for Chelsea, would sign with Manchester United in 2019.
The former England defender said that if Chelsea had another challenging season, Palmer, their outstanding player, may wind up playing for the Red Devils by the following summer.
After having challenging seasons the previous year, Chelsea and Manchester United both need to improve significantly this year.
The Blues’ five-game winning streak to end the season helped them to sixth place in the Premier League.
In contrast, Manchester United defeated rivals Manchester City to win the FA Cup despite finishing sixth overall.
Now, Jamie Carragher has boldly stated that if the Blues have another terrible season, the Red Devils might steal Cole Palmer from them.
“Something’s just come to me here,” Jamie Carragher said…. “If Chelsea have another poor season, we were talking earlier about Manchester United having a real problem on that right wing.
“He [Palmer] is a big Man United fan isn’t he? Would that not be something that United should visit maybe in 12 months if it doesn’t go well?”
Carragher added: “You know what, I think that could happen. Yeah, Cole Palmer to Man United.”.
The former Manchester City man is clearly happy at Stamford Bridge as they try and move forward under new manager Enzo Maresca, but what if they fail to deliver in the coming months?
Jamie Carragher thinks a move could be on the cards for Palmer if Chelsea falter this season. In fact, the former Liverpool defender has backed the England international to join his boyhood club, Manchester United.
