“I will join Chelsea” “But only on this condition” – Victor Osimhen makes “huge condition” before joining Chelsea
The Express claims that Victor Osimhen is prepared to go on loan to Chelsea. The Napoli forward is quite eager to join the Blues, though. If Victor Osimhen joins Chelsea this summer, his goal is to become the most paid player in the Premier League.
Currently earning the highest salary in the Premier League is Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne. The international player from Belgium makes an incredible $520,000 per week. Romelu Lukaku is the highest paid player at Chelsea, taking in $422,000 each week.
Reality is that Chelsea unlikely to meet wage demands for Victor Osimhen of either £295k or £500k per week.
All the evidence suggests the wage structure is paramount to the Sporting Directors and the wider club.

If Chelsea want to sign Osimhen, they will have to sell some of their senior players, who also happen to be the clubs highest earners. This won’t be an easy task as the summer transfer deadline is almost there. Moreover, Chelsea fans are wondering if Victor Osimhen will be a good fit for Chelsea, considering their recent past with strikers. Chelsea’s owner, Todd Boehly, has no problem breaking the bank to sign a player. However, the Blues have already signed over 20 players in this transfer window. Chelsea are also competing with Arsenal and some Saudi League clubs for the signature of Victor Osimhen. Chelsea will have to pay an estimated £423,000 per week, which is equal to £22 million per year in wages, to sign the striker.
How will Victor Osimhen fit at Chelsea?
Chelsea have signed five new attackers this summer with Joao Felix being the latest from Atletico Madrid. Enzo Maresca already had the likes of Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, Christopher Nkunku, and Cole Palmer in the attack. However, Chelsea are desperate to sign a world class striker this summer. This was obvious after the Blues had the worst conversion rate in Premier League last season. Nicolas Jackson is a decent player but the youngster still lacks the end product that is expected of a world class striker. This is where Victor Osimhen can help Chelsea.
Osimhen won the Serie-A title with Napoli after being the top scorer in the league the 2022/23 season. The Nigerian striker has the strength, pace, and technical ability required to play in the Premier League. Many Chelsea fans are calling Victor Osimhen the “Next Didier Drogba.” Chelsea are heavily dependent on English youngster, Cole Palmer, for the majority of their goals. However, this tactic does not always work against big teams, as we saw in Chelsea’s opening game against Manchester City. Chelsea and Napoli have less than a week left before the transfer window deadline, to reach an agreement.
