Chelsea plot shock £75m raid for rock-solid defender in January

Chelsea is reportedly planning to bring Marc Guéhi of Crystal Palace back to Stamford Bridge in 2025. TBR Football believes that Chelsea knows who will be the target of their next big-money acquisition, which they feel they have up their sleeve sooner rather than later.

Guéhi, a product of the Chelsea system, is requesting £75 million. This summer, a planned move to Newcastle United fell through, and he has also been linked to moves to Liverpool and Manchester City. The England international is reportedly “keeping close tabs” on the Blues.

The Verdict: Chelsea have let plenty of hugely talented players go and regretted it in the past, so this is hardly new territory for the club – and nor is splashing enormous amounts of money on a player.

The problem with assessing Chelsea rumours is that just about anything is plausible these day, but we note a lack of detail in the article that makes us sceptical to a certain extent, especially with so many other clubs interested.
