“He’s not for sale” – Todd Boehly told clubs Player Chelsea wanted to sell is now ‘untouchable’

Chelsea was willing to let go of Noni Madueke during the summer transfer window.

Chelsea was under pressure to adhere to Financial Fair Play standards, thus the 22-year-old winger’s sale during the summer was discussed internally.

Conor Gallagher was the biggest name on Chelsea’s list of academy players who were eventually let go.

Chelsea eventually kept Noni Madueke, but the Blues went on to sign a number of quality forward players like Joao Felix, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho.

Madueke started the season down the pecking order, but he has now forced his way into Enzo Maresca’s starting team.

According to reports, Madueke has now been deemed an ‘untouchable’ by the Chelsea hierarchy, and no longer available for sale.

At 22, Noni Madueke could play for the club at a high level for the next decade.
