“He should be punish for letting them down” – Peter Crouch blames one Chelsea player for 2-1 defeat to Liverpool

The Blues’ 2-1 loss to the Reds in the Premier League on Sunday has been attributed by Peter Crouch to Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

He said that the Blues lost the game in part because of the Spaniard.

According to Chelsea247, the Blues lost 2-1 at Anfield.

Both Curtis Jones (51′) and Mohamed Salah (29′ P) scored goals for Liverpool.

Chelsea took the game to Liverpool and had 57% possession while registering 12 shots at the Reds’ goal.

Peter Crouch noted that Chelsea were let down by their goalkeeper, Sanchez.

“In terms of control, Chelsea were better; what let them down was their goalkeeper; they need a new goalkeeper if they want to get back to where they want to be,” Carragher said (via @CFCPys on X).

“He should be punish by benching him to learn more from the bench”

Sanchez could have done better to keep out Jones’ strike in the second half.
