Chelsea’s good start in the UEFA Conference League continued as they easily defeated Panathinaikos 4-1. Joao Felix gave the Blues a one-goal advantage going into halftime. Mykhailo Mudryk opened the scoring after the interval, followed by Felix’s goal and Christopher Nkunku’s penalty. Facundo Pellistri, a former Manchester United youth, gave the home team a consolation goal.
A second-string Chelsea defeated Panathinaikos 4-1 in Athens, led by Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk, to maintain their winning start in the UEFA Conference League.
Halfway through the first half, Felix, a Portugal international, gave the Blues the lead by tapping in Mudryk’s squared ball from close range.
It was the Ukraine international who doubled the visitors’ advantage four minutes into the second period before turning provider once again as he teed up Felix, whose deflected strike made it three.
Diego Alonso of Panathinaikos, however, feels Chelsea disrupts his team’s strategy after Mudryk threatens his defenders.
