“Start him & Cole Palmer” “Top 4 is sure for Chelsea” – Pedro Rodriguez urge Enzo Maresca not to bench 24-years-old Chelsea man after recent form
Chelsea defeated Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge, winning 2-1.
Chelsea had the majority of the ball in the early going, and the first action occurred just five minutes in. After cutting past a defender, Nicolas Jackson played Cole Palmer in on goal, but his finish was disallowed for a narrow offside.
Pedro Neto hammered the ball across goal after Palmer’s ‘De Bruyne esc’ pass, which allowed the Senegal international to finish it off, and Jackson opened the score less than fifteen minutes later.
After the Geordies played some excellent football, Alexander Isak equalized thirty minutes later.
Valentino Livramento progressed up the pitch and was able to link up with Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton, who played the ball to Lewis Hall. The Cobham graduate then crossed low to Isak who was able to score his second Premier League goal of the season.
The score was 1-1 at the break, but only two minutes after returning to the field, Palmer scored the winning goal as he powered into the Newcastle box and shot low and hard into the near post, where Nick Pope was beaten and should have done better to keep it out.
Chelsea were able to hold on to the 2-1 scoreline for the remainder of the match despite pressure from Newcastle at times.
Pedro Rodriguez, though, has urged Enzo Maresca to begin utilizing Pedro Neto more frequently, particularly in the Premier League, as his speed and agility will undoubtedly aid Enzo Maresca’s sqaud.
Pedro Rodriguez stated: “Pedro Neto was excellent on the left side because he usually waited and brought in other players after receiving the ball outside.” I believe it was a wise move for Sancho to switch to Neto and make sure Reece was deeper.
“Cole Palmer will be able to enjoy his football with Pedro Neto by putting him on the run with his accurate pass”
Pedro Neto is so good that he can cause defenders a lot of pain, hence Enzo Maresca should start him frequently in the EPL” He said.
