“I want them” “Maresca please sell them to me” – Ruben Amorim wants these TWO Chelsea stars who Enzo Maresca wants to sell
Ben Chilwell and Christopher Nkunku of Chelsea are allegedly targets for Manchester United in 2025.
Since Ruben Amorim was named Erik ten Hag’s permanent replacement, the Red Devils have been connected to several players, and they are making a double swoop for the Blues pair.
According to CaughtOffside, Amorim has identified Chilwell as a top target for a left wing-back. The Portuguese strategist is expected to begin his tenure as Manchester United’s manager by introducing a new 3-4-3 system.
The 27-year-old made his only appearance this season during Chelsea’s 5-0 victory over Barrow in the Carabao Cup back in September, and he has yet to be included in a Premier League matchday squad under Enzo Maresca.
The former England international was linked with an Old Trafford switch this summer and Man Utd remain interested in finalising a deal amid Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw’s injury woes.
In addition to Chilwell, Man Utd are also looking to re-sign Benfica star Alvaro Carreras, while FootballTransfers understands that Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez is under consideration by INEOS.
Christopher Nkunku to Man Utd?
Man Utd have been heavily linked with Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku in recent weeks and he is also being monitored by the Red Devils hierarchy.
The France international hasn’t started a Premier League match since Chelsea’s opening day defeat to Manchester City, with Nicolas Jackson preferred through the middle, and he has been touted to leave Stamford Bridge next year.
Man Utd are among the clubs interested in signing Nkunku, as per multiple reports, with Amorim’s side looking to complete a double Chelsea swoop in 2025.
Despite his lack of involvement in the Premier League, Nkunku is currently Chelsea’s top goalscorer across all competitions so far this season, with 10 goals in 17 games.
