Why Chelsea could win the league – Pep Guardiola reveals as he rules out Man city on title race on the title race

Given Manchester City’s recent losing streak, Pep Guardiola appears to have given up on winning the championship.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has rejected interest in the team’s goal of winning five straight Premier League titles.

City is presently eight points behind Liverpool, and a loss to the table-toppers on Sunday of next week could end City’s chances of winning the championship.

After Manchester City’s third consecutive league loss and fifth loss overall, Pep Guardiola told ESPN on Saturday that an 11-point deficit to Liverpool would put an end to their hopes of winning the championship.

When told that an 11-point gap could be too much to overcome, he replied: “Yeah, it’s true.

“We’re not thinking about winning or losing [the title]. We are not in the situation to think about what is going to happen at the end of the season.

“If in the end we don’t win it’s because we don’t deserve it. We won it in the past because we deserved it.”

“Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal could be favorites to win the league with their recent form”
