“They could win the league with him” “He’s really sharp & Confident” – Joe Hart believes Chelsea star could help Chelsea to win the league after another stunning performance against Villa
Chelsea defeated Aston Villa 3-0 over the weekend with one of their most comprehensive displays of the year.
As the Blues earned three Premier League points on Sunday afternoon, they appeared at ease. Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, and Nicolas Jackson all scored goals to secure a resounding win.
Since taking over as Chelsea’s manager in the summer, Enzo Maresca has been outstanding, winning 13 of his first 21 games in all competitions.
Joe Hart thinks Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, 23, was outstanding for his side’s opening goal on Sunday.
The Blues centre-forward showed his class in front of goal with a tidy left-footed finish inside the penalty box, which takes his tally up to eight league goals this season.
“It was a sharp finish. We know Emi Martinez can save them, but really sharp from Jackson. Chelsea are on it, big finish from the edge of the box. No saving that one,” Hart said via the Premier League’s official website (2:32pm, 1 December).
Maresca has been working hard with Chelsea’s Jackson in training. Whatever the pair has been doing, they need to keep doing it because the results are worthwhile.
Darren Bent says Jackson is perfect for Chelsea’s system, which is hard to argue with when you see the way he’s impacted things this season.
Yet again, Jackson lead the line for Chelsea with real enthusiasm and quality in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old attacker has clearly upgraded his finishing this term, but the exciting thing is he can still be even more ruthless.
FOTMOB has provided the individual statistics from Jackson’s performance at home to Villa:
Match rating – 7.5
Minutes played – 71
Goals – 1
Total shots – 3
Touches in opposition box – 9
Big chances missed – 1
Accurate passes – 13/17 (76%)
Chances created – 1

Chelsea’s Jackson outshone Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins in the battle of the two centre-forwards at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Based on this season, the Blues frontman looks like the much better player.
Now on eight league goals, Chelsea’s Jackson has a real shot at becoming the club’s first striker since Diego Costa in the 2016/17 season to net 20 top-flight goals in a single season.
