“If Chelsea wants me am available’ – Chelsea given green light after £50M target confirms he wants transfer move
Marcus Rashford, a transfer target for Chelsea, has hinted at a possible departure from Manchester United by stating that, following his difficulties at the Red Devils, he is prepared for a new challenge.
A few seasons ago, Rashford, who has played for Manchester United his entire career, was predicted to be one of the game’s top strikers after scoring an incredible thirty goals, but since then, everything has gone wrong.
He looks nothing like the player that could bang in goals on a weekly basis and because of that he has fallen well down the pecking order at Old Trafford, which has led to alot of rumours that we could make an offer in the upcoming January window.
Now, amid all the speculation and rumours, Rashford has opened up and admitted that he is ready for a new challenge – In a chat with journalist Henry Winter, the 27-year-old said: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.
“If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”
He added: “I’m halfway through my career. I don’t expect my peak to be now. I’ve had nine years so far in the Premier League and that’s taught me a lot, that’s helped me grow as a player and as a person.
“So I don’t have any regrets from the last nine years. I won’t have any regrets going forward because I take things day by day and sometimes bad things happen, and sometimes good things happen. I just try and keep a fine balance. 100%. That’s my mentality.”
When asked if he would always be a red at heart, Rashford quickly responded: “Yes! 100%. 100%.”
