3 Chelsea players that could leave before transfer deadline day next week
With only one departure to date, several Chelsea players have been associated with potential moves away during the January transfer window.
After making only seven appearances in the Premier League this season under Enzo Maresca, defender Renato Veiga has left to join Serie A club Juventus on loan for the remainder of the season.
Chelsea have seen one incoming in January too, as they recalled defender Trevoh Chalobah from his loan at Crystal Palace earlier in the month. They have also been linked to signing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, amid reports he could leave Old Trafford this month.

Striker Nkunku has been subject to a lot of transfer interest this month both from the Premier League and abroad.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in him, sparking people to tip a swap deal between the two clubs with Garnacho moving to Stamford Bridge as part of it.
Furthermore, Nkunku has been linked to Bayern Munich, in a similar situation, with Chelsea keen on Bayern striker Mathys Tel.
The Frenchman has scored just two Premier League goals this season for Chelsea, but has shone in other competitions, netting seven times in the Europa Conference League, and four times in cup competitions.
2. Joao Felix
Despite joining Chelsea on a permanent deal in the summer from Atletico Madrid, Felix has been subject to stories suggesting he could leave this month.
The attacker has made just 12 Premier League appearances, scoring one goal for Maresca’s side this season.
He has been linked in recent weeks over a move to Aston Villa in what would be some form of swap deal for Jhon Duran, who has also attracted interest from West Ham and Arsenal.
They signed the Portugal international in the summer after Conor Gallagher left for Madrid, for a fee of £45m. But it looks like his return to Stamford Bridge could be short.
3. Ben Chilwell
It has come as a surprise that there haven’t been as many reports involving defender Ben Chilwell, who was told by Maresca in the summer that he wasn’t wanted at Chelsea anymore.
He was linked to Manchester United in August, but the defender is currently on a wage of £190,000 per week – he refuses to take a pay cut. That means that it is unlikely that a club would sign him on those wages unless Chelsea terminate his contract.
The Blues could make that move in order to let Chilwell walk as a free agent, because otherwise, they are paying a hefty fee to keep Chilwell in the reserves.
