“They’re out” – Enzo Maresca confirms no Chelsea player will return before international break

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has confirmed that none of the club’s injured players will be available before the upcoming international break.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa, Maresca provided an update on the squad’s fitness situation.

“Fortunately, we don’t have any additional injuries,” he stated.

However, the Blues remain without several key players, with Maresca listing those who will miss the next few games.

“Noni [Madueke] will probably be out until the international break. The rest: Nico [Jackson] out, Wes [Fofana] out, Benoit [Badiashile] out, Romeo [Lavia] out, Marc Guiu out.”

The international break will last from March 16, when they face Arsenal, until April 2, when they take on Tottenham. Maresca remains hopeful that by then, many of the sidelined players will be back in contention.

“Probably after the international break we can have most of the injuries back, hopefully all of them. For us, this can be a big boost.”

With Chelsea set to navigate a crucial stretch of fixtures without several first-team stars, the hope will be that the squad can manage their absences before welcoming back key players in April.
