Benoit Badiashile doesn’t know if he’ll be at Chelsea next season
The future of Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile, 24, is an interesting topic for discussion ahead of the summer.
During an interview with Hayters TV on Tuesday, Badiashile was asked how good would it be to end his time at Chelsea by winning the Conference League amid transfer links with a move away from the club.
The Blues defender responded: “Yeah, it would be great. I don’t know if I will stay or not, but I’m here in Chelsea. We will try to win.”
Badiashile joined Chelsea in a £35m deal (BBC) from Monaco in January 2023, signing a seven-and-a-half-year contract at the time.
Unfortunately, the left-footed centre-back has slipped down the pecking order under Maresca, so he’s linked with a potential transfer exit.
It was reported earlier in the season that Benoit Badiashile was focused on staying at Chelsea despite receiving some transfer interest. We’ve now heard from the player himself that there is some uncertainty around his future, though.
In addition, Inter Milan are interested in Benoit Badiashile as the Chelsea man is one of the main names on their shortlist for the summer window.
