“Do this one thing & win the Champions League next season” – Eden Hazard urges Enzo Maresca to do this one thing immediately after qualifying for the Champions League

Chelsea can plan for next season knowing that they are back in the Champions League.

The Blues have finished fourth in the Premier League after beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground on the final day.

It means that the club are back in the Champions League after two years away from Europe’s elite club competition.

On Sunday afternoon, Enzo Maresca’s side took care of business with a strong away performance to win against Forest. Incidentally, it was only the second time in 2025 that Chelsea have won in the Premier League away from home.

Levi Colwill scored the match-winning goal in the 50th minute with a simple tap-in.

Blues co-owner Todd Boehly celebrated on the pitch after Chelsea’s win against Forest. Hopefully, the ownership’s vision for success at the club is coming into vision, as returning to the Champions League is a significant step.

Eden Hazard urges Chelsea to add experience after success on final day.

Eden Hazard delivered an interesting message to the Chelsea hierarchy immediately after the club qualified for the Champions League on the Premier League’s final day.

He insists that the Blues must go out and sign some experience to help the young group for next season.

Eden Hazard told Chelsea247: “They are a young team. They need experience… They haven’t got that experience. I know they keep on buying all the best youngsters, they’ve got to go out and get a bit of experience in. It’s priceless.

“When it’s not going well, you need that bit of experience around you to calm everything down. They haven’t had that. I think that’s what they’ve got to go out and buy.”

Chelsea have qualified for the Champions League with the youngest team in Premier League history, but it will be another challenge trying to compete in it next term.

In fairness, it’s a popular opinion from fans and pundits that the squad at Stamford Bridge desperately needs the injection of some more know-how.

Earlier in the season, Joe Cole urged Chelsea to sign experienced players to help guide all the talented youngsters already at the club. Similarly, Ian Wright insisted Chelsea need more experience, suggesting they need someone in Thiago Silva’s mould.
