“I want him at Chelsea” – Blues hold further talks to sign £85million ‘INTENSE’ player
According to The Guardian, Chelsea have held further talks over a potential move for West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, who impressed during his debut Premier League season, is being monitored closely by the Blues as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Kudus has an £85 million release clause in his contract and is also attracting interest from Manchester United and Newcastle United, making the competition for his signature intense.
Chelsea view Kudus as a versatile attacker who can operate across multiple positions in the frontline, adding both creativity and goal threat.
While Kudus remains a key target, Chelsea have also been tracking Brighton’s João Pedro for a similar role. However, the club is currently prioritising the signing of a natural left winger.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has emerged as Chelsea’s top target in that area, with the 20-year-old seen as an ideal addition due to his pace and technical ability. Lyon’s Malick Fofana is also being considered as a backup option should a move for Bynoe-Gittens not materialise.
