Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has talked about his role under the new management of Frank Lampard.
Former Blues player Lampard was appointed the Chelsea manager this summer after putting pen to paper on a three-year deal until the end of the 2021/22 season.
Frank Lampard enjoyed a glittering career at Stamford Bridge spanning 13 years as he emerged their leading goalscorer with 211 goals.
N’Golo Kante has made a fantastic start under Frank Lampard despite the fact that he has not been deployed in his preferred position of defensive midfield.
The French World Cup winner was in very good form as he helped Chelsea to a 2-2 draw in the Super Cup clash with rivals Liverpool before the Reds won 5-4 on penalties.
Kante produced a man-of-the-match performance for the Blues but it was not enough in the end.
After the game, Kante spoke to popular media channel Goal about his midfield role under Frank Lampard.
According to him, he’s ready to play in any midfield position for Chelsea.
Frank Lampard deployed him in an advanced position against Chelsea in the Super Cup just like what was obtainable under Maurizio Sarri while the Italian tactician was still the Blues boss before his exit this summer.
