Chelsea stars called up for France duties

France have announced their latest squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers that start next week.

Manager Didier Deschamps is busy preparing to face Albania and Andorra, and has named a strong squad.

Chelsea work horse N’Golo Kante misses out this time around, due to carrying a minor injury.

This will please his club manager Frank Lampard, who will be eager to get his star player rested up and back to full fitness as soon as possible.

There will be two Chelsea representatives turning out for Les Blues though, with Olivier Giroud and Kurt Zouma both getting the call.

Giroud is a regular name stay in the national squad, but Zouma has been rather up and down in his national career over recent years.

The 24-year old has been a regular for Lampard’s Chelsea so far this season, and has generally been very impressive, deserving his inclusion in the France squad.

France announced their official squad via their Twitter account today.
