Chelsea have offered Emerson Palmieri a new contract worth €5m (£4.5m) a year, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Football-Italia.net).
The Italian publication reports that the Blues are happy to give the left-back improved terms as a reward for his fine form.
The 25-year-old has started every game under manager Frank Lampard so far this campaign and supporters on Twitter are firmly behind the plans to give him a new deal:
We need to sign him ASAP before any other big club try to.

Emerson, himself, appears to be very happy to stay at Stamford Bridge. The fullback starred in Italy’s 3-1 win against Armenia on Thursday, providing the assist for Andrea Belotti’s equaliser. Following the game, he was asked about his future and he said:
“I think it is the best period of my career. I’m very happy at Chelsea, just as I was last season with Maurizio Sarri. Obviously, a player is always happier when he plays regularly.”
The Brazilian born Italian has become a more prominent figure in the first team over the last twelve months. He started last campaign as understudy to Marcos Alonso but was picked ahead of him by manager Maurizio Sarri for the Europa League final against Arsenal.
