Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has only played 45 minutes so far for Chelsea this season, having struggled with injuries.
After undergoing a knee operation last summer, a groin injury he suffered during Chelsea’s 5-2 victory over Wolves early this season has kept him sidelined.
According to Daily Mail, Rudiger has handed Chelsea boss Frank Lampard a major boost by returning to fitness in time for Chelsea’s trip to Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
Rudiger’s return to fitness will be a welcome boost for Lampard with a busy run of fixtures approaching in the Christmas period.
Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League table with 29 points from 15 matches.
However, Chelsea fans supporters have expressed their delight after hearing the news about the potential return of Antonio Rudiger to first-team action.
Various reports including Standard Sport have now confirmed that Rudiger is likely to make his second appearance of the Premier League season at Everton and that has pleased some of the club’s faithful.
