The Blues have enjoyed a bright start to the season but have recently experienced a sudden slump in form which saw them losing four of their last five Premier League games.
Tim Sherwood, a former Spurs boss believes that Lampard needs to find a proper replacement for Eden Hazard who joined Real Madrid this summer, to keep top-4 chances alive.
“When things start going wrong at a big club, everyone’s looking at the back of your head in that technical area and saying: “Do something, what you going to do now? Let’s see it.”
“I think they will go into the transfer market now, I think they need to find a little magician like Eden Hazard.”
Hazard joined Chelsea on 4 June 2012 in a £32m move from Lille. In 7 seasons at Stamford Bridge, Eden made 352 appearances for the club, scored 110 goals and recorded 92 assists. The ace helped the Blues to win 6 major trophies, including two Premier League titles and two Europa Leagues. It would be incredible to have Hazard back, wouldn’t it?
In summer 2019, Hazard completed his dream move to Real Madrid for an initially reported fee of around €100m which may rise to €146.1m.
The 28-year-old has played 13 games for Los Blancos so far, scoring one goal and providing 4 assists.
