“A Real Betis player” – Cole Palmer finally reveals how Real Betis player inspired him to run the show in second half in 4-1 win over Real Betis
Following 4-1 win against Real Betis, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer has shared his thoughts following the team’s UEFA Conference League triumph, highlighting the strong second-half performance that secured the victory.
“A good feeling for us and the fans. We just picked up the intensity in the second-half and we put on a good performance,” Cole said.
Reflecting on his two assists, Palmer explained:
“In the dressing room I told myself we need to win this game and I think of the beast in me and said to myself I can create chances and secure this victory”
“I saw the way Isco celebrated when they scored was like it’s not over yet and come to my senses in the second half”
“I was so sick of getting the ball and going backwards and sideways. I remember there was a bit of space, always chopping and changing and I saw Enzo run so I put the ball over the top. Same again [for the second assist].”
“I said to myself Chelsea will be disappointed if we don’t win this Trophy and this will be my first trophy at the club and needs to boost me and my teammates ahead of next season” He added
