Reports have claimed that Juventus are keen to sign up Ngolo Kante in the next couple of transfer windows, but Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic has made a big transfer decision.
Kante is easily regarded as the best holding midfielder in the game right now and is a main reason why Chelsea were so defensively sound before Maurizio Sarri came in and decided to play the Frenchman in a more forward thinking attack.
But there has been some speculation in the media over the past few days which has suggested that Juventus coach Sarri is keen to take the little midfielder to Juventus during the next couple of transfer windows, and is reportedly ready to pay the £100 million price tag on the Frenchman’s head.
But Sky Sports Journalist Fabrizio Romano has come out and claimed that Juventus are not closing in on a potential deal for the World Cup winner, as Roman Abramovic has decided that Kante is far too important a player to let go over the next few transfer windows.
The Frenchman has endured a difficult start to the new Premier League season as injuries have kept him on the sidelines, but he is still regarded as one of the best midfielders in the game and a big part of the exciting future for Chelsea.
Former Liverpool ace Steve Nicol recently stated there is no way Chelsea will allow Kante to leave the club and does not think the midfielder will want the move anyway, he told the ESPN website: “Well Sarri’s a big fan but how long’s Sarri going to be there? And do Chelsea really want to let arguably their best player go? I don’t see how that happens whatsoever.
“There’s not one reason I can come up with to suggest that Kante would go to Juventus, whether it’s through his desire or certainly will have no desire to let him go.
“I’m sorry, Kante leaving Chelsea? No. I think there’s more chance of Lampard leaving Chelsea, and that’s not very high.”
Lampard has had a decent start to life as Chelsea boss and has been praised for giving the very gifted talents a real chance to shine in the Chelsea shirt this season. But the club legend cannot allow to let his best players leave the club if he wants to achieve big things and get back challenging for that Premier League title again.
So even though Juventus are keen, there is no need for Kante to take a step down in level and move to Seria A yet, especially as he has many top years in the game left in his legs.
