“Always afraid whenever he touches the ball” “Can’t you stop playing him” – Chelsea fans calls out Enzo Maresca on Chelsea star
Rob Green, a former goalie for Chelsea and England, has evaluated Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez.
Enzo Maresca, the manager of Chelsea, has insisted that Robert Sanchez keep creating possession from the back.
In the top five leagues in Europe, Sanchez has committed the most errors that resulted in goals.
According to Rob Green, when Robert Sanchez has the ball, there is typically anxiety at Stamford Bridge.
Green told The Athletic: “I have sensed there is a problem myself. I was at Chelsea v Brighton (when they won 4-2) and the tension in the crowd was palpable. There was an intake of breath from over 30,000 people whenever the ball was around him…
“I just think that, along with the passing, if you start looking for things to do, it then adds to the scrutiny, that the crowd are thinking: ‘What is he going to do now?’.”
