Arteta decision means Chelsea can sign £350k-a-week superstar deal done
According to persistent rumors, Arsenal has decided to sign Victor Osimhen of Napoli this summer, which will help Chelsea in the transfer market.
Before the new season, Arteta and Edu Gaspar will be aiming to boost their Arsenal roster in a variety of aspects after the team nearly lost out to Manchester City for the Premier League title.
Although Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are undoubtedly talented players, they are not the kind of forwards who would score thirty goals a year, which would help the Gunners win the Premier League.
Osimhen, 25, dreams of playing in the Premier League, according to La Gazetta dello Sport, but Napoli will stand firm on his €130m (£111m) release clause.
The Serie A giants have identified Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku and Girona’s Artem Dovbyk as replacement options, but will not lower their demands for one of the best strikers in the game.
The report also suggests that Osimhen is expecting Arsenal to make a move for him at some point this transfer window – and he would be interested in a move to the Premier League should the opportunity be given.
However, Sky Sports Italy claim that Arsenal have made it clear to Napoli they will NOT meet Osimhen’s £110million release clause and therefore have reportedly chosen not to pursue the big striker.
