Ateltico Madrid make final decision over Chelsea Striker

Atletico Madrid will consider terminating the loan deal of Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, who joined the Spanish side on an 18-month loan deal in the winter transfer window that contained the option of making a move permanent for £15 million.

The Spain international has netted just six goals in 17 matches since joining, however, and Spanish news outlet AS reports that Diego Simeone may cut his losses less than half a year after pushing for the signing.

Diego Simeone is believed to be looking elsewhere for a more prolific forward, especially with concerns growing over the future of Barcelona-bound Antoine Griezmann.

The Premier League giants are unable to sign any new players for the next two transfer windows, but they already have Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham returning from loan spells.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will probably decide to let Gonzalo Higuain return to Juventus as the Blues chiefs are utterly disappointed with the former Argentina international’s performances.

Maurizio Sarri was desperate to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, and now it seems that Alvaro Morata will replace the South American in the summer.

Meanwhile, Tammy Abraham is having a fantastic season in the Championship side with the youngster scoring 25 goals during the season in the second tier.

It will be a wise move if Chelsea retain the services of the young Englishman as the Blues were not able to uphold the transfer ban and are unable to sign new players in the coming two more transfer windows.
