Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta later switch his position and makes way for James to play the left back.

Cesar Azpilicueta insists that he has no issues playing on the left if the manager needs him to.

“I have a characteristic that I can play in different positions,” the Spaniard said after the Man City game.

“This season, I have already played on the left, against Ajax in the second half. I have no problem.

“If the manager needs me and thinks I can do it, I just change sides and focus. I readjust to the players that I have around me and push for the result, as always.”

Last night during Man City game, Azpilicueta switched to the left-side position when Frank Lampard deployed Reece James on the field.

The Spaniard has often played as a left-back in his early days of Chelsea career upon arriving from Marseille back in 2012.
