Behdad Eghbali speaks on Chelsea’s Ideal coaching candidate as new coach set to announced
Behdad Eghbali, a co-owner of Chelsea, is now in London to supervise the selection of a new head coach, which is being handled by co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.
Kieran McKenna, the manager of Ipswich Town, is one of the leading contenders for the Stamford Bridge job, therefore the blues are intensifying their search for a new manager.
It was informed by sources that Kieran McKenna is “likely” to turn down any new contract that Ipswich tries to offer him in an effort to keep him.
According to the report, McKenna and assistant manager Martyn Pert believe that moving on is the appropriate course of action. Chelsea is reportedly in first place as well, with clubs required to reimburse Ipswich for almost £4 million.
Enzo Maresca of Leicester City is a player that Chelsea is also interested in, although nothing has been processed as of yet.
Enzo Maresca and McKenna both seem to be on Chelsea’s coaching shortlist. Both players will be happy with their achievements this season, as they were both promoted to the Premier League.
All of these managers, meanwhile, have just recently had a little amount of success and have never overseen a team the size of Chelsea.
