A selection of Chelsea FC supporters are delighted with the injury returns of N’Golo Kante, Ross Barkley and Andreas Christensen ahead of the club’s Champions League encounter against Ajax at home.

Kante has been sidelined with an adductor problem picked up on international duty while Barkley and Christensen have likewise been out of action with hamstring and ankle concerns respectively.

Ahead of the Ajax clash, the trio have been involved in training with the first-team and that has got a number of fans excited over the prospect of their returns to the starting XI.

Lampard has taken extra precaution with the fitness of Kante, given the Frenchman has sustained minor niggles when he has been rushed into first-team action this term.

Prior to the Ajax clash, the Blues boss confirmed that the Frenchman has clearly overcome his fitness concerns thereby hinting that the midfielder may return to the starting mix.

Chelsea are currently equal on points with Ajax in their Champions League group but they hold the slender advantage on the head-to-head record over the Dutch champions.

A victory on Tuesday would pretty much put them in the driver’s seat in the race for the knockouts but anything other than that, could bring Valencia back into contention, should they get the better of Lille.
