Blues to seal player’s deal in coming weeks, Tuchel reacts to possible £90 million Chelsea signing, as Tuchel worried star is leaving Chelsea…

Chelsea are still working to extend Thiago Silva’s contract, waiting for the final decision in the coming days/weeks.

There was a moment in Chelsea’s win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night where all Chelsea fans collectively treasured as a moment that will go down as an iconic one on the clubs history.

Thiago Silva was out injured for the match, and he was up in the stands watching on alongside Mason Mount and Jorginho.

The camera kept going back to Silva all game to show shots of him coaching and instructing the players on the pitch, it was really quite brilliant!

Then when Emerson scored the second goal the camera panned back to Silva who was almost falling down the steps celebrating the goal and jumping around hugging Mount and Jorginho.

I thought to myself then, get this man a new contract, give him whatever he wants, give him a player/coach role. He loves Chelsea, and Chelsea loves him.

Well, Chelsea are still working on a new deal with him, according to Fabrizio Romano, and the club will find out his decision ‘in the coming days/weeks.’

Thomas Tuchel has reacted to the reports that Chelsea are keen to try and sign Erling Haaland in the transfer window.

Haaland hit a brace in the second leg of Dortmund’s Champions League round of 16 tie against Sevilla last week, which sent them through to the last eight, 5-4 on aggregate, as the Norwegian now has ten goals to his name from six outings in the competition, four ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar

His performances for Dortmund this season has let to alot of speculation that the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are ready to swoop in and try to offer him a move to the Premier League, with both keen to add a striker to the squad in the transfer window, BUT Tuchel is in no need to talk transfer right now.

“It is not time to reflect for the summer and other solutions, other than what we have,” Tuchel said about the transfer market. “We have guys that we are happy with and are looking for more solutions; we will try to help them.

“In general, I am happy because we don’t only look at the output in how they score and assist. Of course, this is a statistic in which every striker is attached to and everyone has to have the mentality to cope with the statistic. It is like this at high-level football.

“We are still waiting for a breakthrough for the guys to be on a run to score consistently, it is not the case. We will never stop pushing and looking for solutions to create even more clear chances for them. That’s the way it is.”

He may not want to talk about it, But Haaland would be the superstar striker that Chelsea are currently lacking right?

‘Tuchel worried that £150,000-a-week star will leave Chelsea on free transfer this summer

According to reports, Thomas Tuchel is worried that Tottenham target Antonio Rudiger will leave Chelsea on a free at the end of the season.

It is no secret that Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has seen that defence become the weak link in his squad this season, and that has cost his side the chance to keep competing for that Premier League title.

It is widely speculated in the media that Mourinho will be handed some funds in the coming transfer window to add a premium centre-back to the squad, but he has reportedly set his sights on a possible deal for Rudiger.

The German was on the radar of Spurs boss Jose Mourinho last summer, and he was fancied to make a loan move to the north London outfit, but a deal failed to materialise as the Blues demanded a £4 million loan fee on top of his £150,000-a-week wages being paid for the entire season.

But the German has endured a stop-start season so far this year, with the impact of Thomas Tuchel giving him alot more game time than he was getting under the guidance of Frank Lampard, but the rumours still persist.

However, Chelsea will try to sign Antonio Rudiger to a contract extension before the summer to avoid the risk of him leaving on a free transfer in 2022, with the Daily Mail reporting manager Thomas Tuchel is a driving force in getting a deal done soon.

Tuchel has needed the German centre-back to perform at a high level with Thiago Silva injured, and the 28-year-old has rewarded his boss with steady play at the back over the past month.
