According to The Sun, Chelsea have the option to recall whizkid Conor Gallagher in January.
The 19 year old midfielder is flourishing on loan at Charlton in the Championship and has already found the back of the net five times in the league.
In his first start for England’s U21, Gallagher scored a brilliant goal from the edge of the box in their 3-0 victory over Albania during the recent international break.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard have an opinion to bring back the young midfielder from his loan spell at Charlton but The Sun accepts the likelihood is that Gallagher will remain at Charlton for the rest of the season where he is rapidly improving under Lee Bowyer.
Gallagher has revealed he is delighted to be working under Bowyer at Charlton.
Gallagher revealed: “He’s great. I’ve only worked under him for a couple of months now but I’ve loved it.
“He was a top midfielder back in the day and knows his stuff. He has played at the top level so it’s a lot to learn to make the box every time and that is how I’ve scored my goals this season.
“I am looking forward to working under him for the end of the season.”
