La Masia graduate Dani Olmo who has become one of the hottest prospects in Spanish football as of late is a Chelsea target as per the Catalan news outlet Sport.
The Blues have reportedly made a ‘firm offer’ to Dinamo Zagreb who value their starlet at €40m.
While it’s unclear whether it’s just another passing rumour or something concrete, Olmo indeed looks like a real deal.
The 21-year-old promising striker left La Masia for the Dinamo Zagreb youth team in the summer of 2014 for just 200,000 euros. He went on to become the star player of Spain U21 side who scooped the European Championship title last summer.
Moreover, former Spain boss Roberto Moreno has even promoted Olmo to Furia Roja’s starting squad and handed him a senior debut in Euro 2020 qualifiers against Malta back in November.
So far, Dani has played 119 games for Dinamo’s senior squad. The Spaniard has scored 32 goals and provided 27 assists. Naturally enough, he’s already been linked with Barcelona return or a move to Real Madrid.
It indeed takes some guts to move from Spain to Croatia. For now, though, enjoy Olmo’s moments of brilliance at La Masia:
