BREAKING: Chelsea reveals final 28-man squad after January transfers
Now that the January transfer window has ended, Chelsea have completed their squad for the rest of the season, with several important incoming and outgoing transfers.
Loans Out
Axel Disasi – The defender has joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.
Max Merrick – The young goalkeeper has moved to Hampton & Richmond on loan after an impressive run with Chelsea’s U-21 side.
Jimmy-Jay Morgan – The 19-year-old forward will spend the rest of the season at Gillingham in League Two, already making his debut against Tranmere.
João Félix – Chelsea agreed to a straight loan to AC Milan, with the Italian club covering his salary in a deal worth over £5 million.
Renato Veiga – After making 18 appearances for Chelsea this season, the Portuguese defender has joined Juventus on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Caleb Wiley – The American left-back was recalled from Strasbourg and has now joined Watford in the Championship.
Loan Returns
Aaron Anselmino – The defender is back from Boca Juniors, where he played 18 games during his loan spell.
Eddie Beach – The Welsh U-21 goalkeeper has returned from Crawley Town after making two appearances.
Luke Campbell – The 19-year-old keeper is back from Hendon, where he made 31 appearances in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
Trevoh Chalobah – Recalled from Crystal Palace, Chalobah has been given Chelsea’s No. 23 shirt after scoring three goals in 14 games for Palace.
Ted Curd – The England U-19 goalkeeper kept nine clean sheets in 22 games for Hampton & Richmond before returning.
David Fofana – The Ivorian striker is back from a spell at Goztepe in Turkey, where he scored twice in nine games.
Gaga Slonina – The American keeper returns from Barnsley, having made 14 appearances before an injury in October.
Ronnie Stutter – The academy forward was recalled from Burton Albion after an injury disrupted his loan spell.
Permanent Departures
Cesare Casadei – The Italian midfielder has left Chelsea for Torino in a permanent move, ending his two-and-a-half-year stint at Stamford Bridge after making 17 senior appearances.
Kai Crampton – The young goalkeeper has signed for Bournemouth, having developed through Chelsea’s academy.
Zain Silcott-Duberry – Another academy graduate who has also moved to Bournemouth permanently.
Harvey Vale – The promising midfielder has joined QPR on a permanent deal.
