BREAKING: Granovskaia blocks Monaco move for Bakayoko

Tiemoue Bakayoko’s loan move to Monaco is reportedly off the cards. According to RMC Sport, the Frenchman’s return to the Ligue 1 club has been blocked personally by Marina Granovskaia, the Chelsea director.

There is no secret that Bakayoko is not a player featuring in Frank Lampard’s place, and the Blues allegedly started to look for a potential deal in July.

However, Chelsea are ready to loan Tiemoue out for this season if it helps them to recoup the £40m spent on the player two years ago.

That is the reason why Monaco’s advances for their former player have been rebuffed. As the media outlet explains, Granovskaia does not believe Monaco is a stage big enough to showcase Bakayoko’s talents.

There is some logic behind such thinking. The club is in crisis after narrowly escaping relegation last season. In the new campaign, Monaco have already lost their first two games, 3-0 both to Lyon and Metz.

As for other interested parties, PSG have reportedly reemerged as the contenders, as Daily Mail understands, while the efforts from Galatasaray have seemingly gone quiet.
