The Spanish outlet El Desmarque has claimed that Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez considers N’Golo Kante to be an ‘alternative’ target. Their primary focus in the summer will be on signing Man United’s midfielder Paul Pogba, or so the media believes.
It is understood that Los Blancos are willing to spend up to €120m to bring either Frenchman to Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid boss Zidane targets Pogba as his No.1 choice as well, but he is also ‘excited’ by the ‘physicality’ N’Golo Kante would add to his team.
According to an earlier rumour published by El Desmarque, Real Madrid could allegedly use the attacker James Rodriguez as the makeweight in their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
It is also believed that Chelsea have a gentleman agreement with Los Blancos regarding N’Golo Kante.
If any club ever would make a bid for the Frenchman, Chelsea will notify Real Madrid so they would have a chance of joining the auction.
N’Golo Kante has almost 4 years still to run on his contract expiring in 2023. His transfer value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €100m.
